What an MRO does
A Medical Review Officer is a qualified licensed physician who receives and reviews laboratory drug test results and evaluates legitimate medical explanations when applicable. This is a defined role in the DOT testing process, separate from specimen collection.
How review fits into testing
Specimens are collected and processed through appropriately certified laboratories. The MRO reviews and verifies drug test results according to DOT procedures and communicates the appropriate information to the authorized employer representative.
QuickLabs coordinates access
QuickLabs provides access to qualified MRO services as part of its testing arrangements. We do not claim to own the laboratories or directly employ the reviewing physicians. Questions about an individual result belong in the designated secure testing channel, not a public contact form.
Employer responsibilities remain with the employer. Read the official DOT / FMCSA guidance.
